Wow! What an incredible weekend! After attending the Clothes Show Live for the first time last year, I knew instantly that it would be a regular event for me. This year, however, it was amazing to have been invited to the show for the weekend as guests alongside my Miss England partners! With the hundreds of different outlets there, countless guests and live shows as well as the one and only Clothes Show Fashion Show, we were spoiled with choice with what to do. After meeting initially at the Fresh Academy stand, the photographic partner of Miss England, who were aiding in our scout for Miss England 2016, we were off to enjoy the plethora of stools and events around us!
My favourite part of the whole event has to be the main fashion show however in the Alcatel theatre. Last year it was truly exceptional and only heightened my love of fashion and modelling. This year did not disappoint with the commercial show being dynamic and creative as always with a cheeky cameo from a storm trooper. It whipped and it nay-nayed. I think at that point myself, Jade (Miss Black Country) and Molly (Miss Birmingham) spat our drinks out in laughter! The next day, I wonder how, Rachael, our big boss, was called to the stage as a winner of a gift set including a tablet... for screaming the loudest over a model. I'm not sure whether I'm impressed, scared or jealous that I never screamed!
Whilst travelling round the event, we also met with several different companies and brands who were selling some incredible items. Some of my favourites are definitely My Wraps, a pretty awesome earphone company whos earphones wrap up to form bracelets (it is now a daily accessory for me), Dead Sea Spa Magik who provided an amazing set of items ranging from lotions to scrubs to creams to keep me stocked up for the next century, MAYA who used me to demonstrate their curling hair range and of course, the amazing Make Belive Tan whom have now become dear friends! There are truly to many amazing brands to name but I will definitely be using them all again and showing the results. I can't forget Urban Knit, also, for giving me the funkiest and warmest socks I've ever seen!
During the weekend, I also managed to meet Jake Quickenden, Charlotte Crosby and Binky to name a few which was unbelievable! What surprised me the most was how down to Earth they all were! You never know, maybe we'll meet again! I've got to admit it has been one of the best events I've been to recently and one I will definitely be returning too! As the fashion event of the year for the entire country, it can only get bigger and better!
Welcome to Birmingham!
