I mentioned previously I’d been offered a temp placement in a PR and marketing agency, I’m now thrilled to say I’ve been offered a permanent position with the company! They loved my can do attitude and fast learning, so I’m really pleased to have been given this opportunity to stay with such a wonderful company! This weekend just gone was an office BBQ where everyone brought something to the table hosted at our MD’s house; the team spirit between everyone is so refreshing, and team building activities like this where everyone’s families are invited along also really to keep everyone feeling so much more to one another than just colleagues, it’s like a family and I’ve been given a very warm welcome into the team; I’m so excited for my future here!
Speaking of the future, I’ve signed up to the Birmingham Big Fun Run on September 20th at Cannon Hill Park in town. I’m both excited and anxious for this, as I’m really NOT a runner; I’d get tired running to the end of the road so it’s a challenge to increase my CV fitness, to really push me out of my comfort zone to experience something new whilst also breaking down my own mental barriers that tell me I cannot, and will never be a runner! I think it’s important to push yourself out of your own comfort zone every now and then, to learn, experience and grow a lot through the experience. I’m running it for Macmillan Cancer Support as the charity is very close to my heart, and they do life changing amazing work. Every single penny is gratefully received and you can make a donation online at www.justgiving.com/missbhamruns
To get myself much fitter and ready for my run, I’ve gone back to the amazing team at Xtreme Bootcamps. They’ve started running a class in Worcester weds 19.00-20.00 and on Saturdays 11.00-12.00, where I’m now attending so would be fantastic to see you there! The team are so good, really pushing you to your own limits to make you realise you can achieve so much more than you thought possible. I can’t wait to see noticeable improvement in my fitness levels, running ability and of course my body and they whip me into shape!
Lastly for this week, I’ve been progressing my plans for forthcoming charity events, had some great feedback from potential venues and have come up with a few more ideas to further pursue also! AS soon as I get my first venue and date confirmed, I’m looking forward to spilling all the details with you on here!
Stay tuned, and wish me luck with my new exercise regime! :)
Love Always,
Your Miss Birmingham xxxx
