The weather this weekend was not set to be good. At all. But hey, we live in England, when has the rain ever stopped us!? So we pressed on anyway, grey skies above threatening to open the heavens on us at any moment; and when did that moment come..? Of course, when we were unpacking the car to load up our tent! Soggy pillows aside, we got ourselves up and running pretty quickly, had something to eat and got dressed up ready for the evenings’ entertainment in line with the dress code: onsie night. Now, I do own a few onsies, but for me, they’re housewear/pyjamas! Venturing on a night out in my onsie feels a bit wrong, but I’ve dressed it up by donning my crown and sash to add a touch of glamour and promote the pageant! Perhaps the first Zebra Miss Birmingham, who knows? J
The weather Saturday was a hundred times better than forecast, so we were fortunate enough to be able to wander around the trade stalls in the sunshine and even enjoy an ice cream. The atmosphere at these festivals is impossible to describe, everyone is so happy, caring and at peace, it really makes you feel the world is a wonderful place after all, filled with so many wonderful people! But perhaps that’s my inner hippy getting lost in visions of world peace and harmony! Lol!
Sunday came about all too quickly, and the weather was again sunny spells, with a threat of rain in some lingering dark clouds, so we packed a lot of stuff away early, but chanced leaving our tent up till later so we could keep the cooking equipment and tables and chairs up. Whilst sitting watching the dog show, a few sizeable spots landed upon us so we rushed back to the tent to try and pack away before it all got too wet! We didn’t do too badly, only getting a little wet whilst speed packing for the weather then turn into glorious sunshine again for the rest of the day (typical we ought to have left it through that brief shower and it’d have fully dried again ready to go home!)
I had a wonderful weekend with a short break from all social media and was so refreshed to get back to basics and feel at one with nature! I’m a country girl, my grandparents lived on a farm, so I’m always happy to be running around a field feeling like a child again! J It’s important to take time out, being a Beauty Queen won’t change me to feel obliged to always have pristine hair and full face of makeup; looking your best is about seeing your happiness shine through, so stay true to who you are to always look radiant!
Over & Out, have a peaceful week ahead!
Much Love, Miss B xxx
