So as you’re all probably aware by now (particularly if you follow me on social media!) Wednesday is boot camp night with Xtreme Bootcamps. The last session of the month is the fitness test, which is a fantastic way to really track your progress and see the results down on paper. The first fitness test I did with them was so tough, I struggled in every section of the test and only managed to power on through due to the kind words of encouragement from Jordan Williams, our current Mr England!
On the bleep test, I managed an embarrassing 3.3 (first to drop out!) Press ups are measured as the maximum you can do in 2 minutes; I managed just 28, the same test is then carried out with sit ups where I managed 30 and the final test of strength and endurance is how long you can hold a plank for, where I held for just 1 minute 15 seconds . Just 2 sessions back into training with the Xtreme team saw my results improve more than I could have ever imagined in such a short space of time;
Bleep Test: 3.3 to 5.1!
Press Ups: 28 to 60
Sit ups: 30 to 48
Plank: 1 min 15 second to 1m 33, though I do feel I let myself down a little on this one, I feel I could have and should have done better!
Still overall, I’m ecstatic with my results and its fantastic to be able to clearly see and monitor your progress- I’m now actually looking forward to the next fitness test to see how much further I can push myself and achieve! It’s remarkable that Xtreme Bootcamps are not only changing my body and my fitness levels, but also my attitude towards fitness and exercise! When you see yourself progressing, so quickly too, it makes your goals seem so much more achievable and realistic which motivates me personally no end. I look forward to the next session to see how much harder I can push myself and what more I can accomplish beyond my own expectations.
I’m still a little nervous for my run, but I have faith that Xtreme will have me ready for it in time!
Come along to see what you can achieve, your results will amaze you! Your first session is free so what have you got to lose?
