In the Council House, the whispers turn to eager chatter between dancers, singers and actors as the realisation of the parade is beginning to take shape.
Sitting back stage in the private dressing room, I had the chance to meet such wonderful people on the wide array of performers and guest in the Christmas parade.
Casually sitting 'Sash and Crowned' as Miss Birmingham 2013, I got chatting to such people as the nativity children (and parents), theatre workshop singers and girl guides. This made me reflect on the true meaning of the Christmas parade, getting the community and the city of Birmingham together to present such future talent within the festive event.
After The Theatre Workshop had finished the amazing show, it was time to join the Lord Mayor to greet Santa and the Birmingham audience.
The Parade can only be described as 'incredible', the costumes and actors made it a truly magical and festive display of talent and beauty within the second city.
I had such an opportunity, walking the streets of Birmingham to the right of Santa and the Lord Mayor, ringing the bell to announce there arrival.
Cameras flashing and children cheering, it was such a magical event that has truly started the Christmas season with a 'HO HO HO, Meeerrrrrry Chhrrisstmassss!'
