STUNNING teenager Rosie Thompson gazed down at the Miss Birmingham sash, hugged her proud mum and gushed: “This is the best Mothers’ Day of all.”
For Rosie, from Redditch, it was a case of second time lucky. The 18-year-old was runner-up last year, but received the crown and sash at the end of last night’s glitzy pageant final at the Burlington Hotel.
Last year’s winner Katie Stamps, from Kidderminster, said: “So happy to hand my crown over to my runner-up. I know you’ll do brilliantly at the Miss England finals.”
The evening programme also included the Mr Birmingham pageant, won by student Joshua Williams.
The Castle Vale 17-year-old beat 12 others to win the title.
