But that was exactly what one Miss Worcestershire finalist donned in a bid to raise money for charity at the Victorian Christmas fair in Worcester.
Stephanie Need, 23, a nursery nurse from Diglis, raised £300 for Beauty with a Purpose - the official charity partner of Miss England which works with disadvantaged children - through her fundraising antics.
She said: "I believe this competition shows that beauty isn't all about what's on the outside.
"Members of the public were very generous in their support of this worthwhile cause.
"I'm very grateful for all of the support and I have many more fundraising ideas."
